Lynn  Berryhill

For the past fifteen years, the major influence on the paintings of Lynn Berryhill has been of an internal and spiritual nature.  For Berryhill, it is a journey of self discovery and deep spiritual exploration.  The perceptions from this exploration are the source of the paintings that Berryhill so delights in pursuing today.

During this time, Berryhill's work has evolved into abstract paintings that are very intuitive in their inception and execution.  Lynn has studied and trained on her own and with many teachers encompassing many traditions.  Her travels have taken her as far as India and Peru as well as deep into the worlds of shamanic journeying and meditation.

Berryhill says,  "My images and symbols often come to me in meditation, in shamanic journeys, in dreams even in everyday moments.  I believe that our work is to wake up through the practice of awareness to the higher consciousness that is available to us at all times; if we are paying attention, being truly present."

In Berryhill's perception, all of life is an enigma to be uncovered.  "As we move along the road of our journey, we come to many stones that asked to be uncovered, turned over, examined.  Some of these stones are beautiful, some are not.  But in responding to them, we discover more of our own mystery the deep Essence, the true Self, which remembers that it is a part of and connected to the Whole."
