Pat Cluff is a Utah native, currently residing in Springdale, Utah.  She has served as an active supporter and promoter of the Arts in Utah since 1977 and has worked as an independent studio potter since 1973.  Her current clay vessels are inspired by the surrounding desert landscape of Zion.

The surrounding landscape inspires Pat Cluff's unique 'textured glaze' and 'lichen glaze' vases.  Pat's lichen pottery is inspired by the desert lichen found on rocks.  Her textured glaze pottery is inspired by the desert surface drying after a rainstorm.

These glazes are food safe, although not intended for food.  The best way to clean the 'textured glaze' pieces is in the dishwasher.  The 'lichen-glazed' pieces can be rinsed with water to remove dust but should not be placed in the dishwasher.

Her muses reveal Pat's exploration of Greek Mythology and their relationship to the arts. Besides her longtime participation in and support of the arts, Pat currently serves as Mayor to the town of Springdale.
