Pearl Meadows textured, original oil paintings provide bold color and dramatic impact. She describes her work as “abstract impressionism.”
Meadows says, “My singular iconic ideal is Georgia O’Keeffe – strong, clear and female, from New York to Texas to Taos with many adventures in between. Of great influence on my perceptions of the world are paintings by Helen Frankenthaler, Paul Klee and Mark Rothko.”
Pearl has added another avenue to her art – with sterling silver and copper. She has been creating jewelry with metal and stone. Seeking a sustainable direction with metal work, she has been up-cycling copper off-cuts from Lyman Whitaker’s wind sculptures.
