Gail was born in Hawaii and raised in the Samoan islands where she spent her childhood swimming in the ocean, and exploring nature. Arts and crafts have always been a part of her life and she has experimented in many art forms over the years. After retiring from teaching in 2008 she began watercolor classes and was immediately hooked.
Gail continued to expand and develop as an artist by taking classes, experimenting with new methods and most importantly learning how to see as an artist. In 2017 she began experimenting with acrylics and eventually completely transferred from watercolors to acrylics. Enjoying the vivid colors and the permanence of the paint. Her art is moving towards brighter bolder colors and more simplistic shapes and her subject matter is constantly changing along with her style. Gale now lives half of the year in the beautiful red rock country of Southern Utah and the other half of the yearn the spectacular Oregon coast.
