Born and raised in the desert of southern Utah, Tosha AKA “True Joy” has always had an affinity for the landscapes of the southwest. Raised by a family of artists and musicians Tosha was given a lot of freedom and inspiration to develop her creative gifts.
In addition to her upbringing, she draws inspiration from the cycles of nature, spiritual insights, and archetypal forms.
In the fast paced society of our modern world, Tosha seeks to slow down. Bead work has become the perfect meditation to be intentional with every step, engendering patience, perseverance, and peace of mind.
Each piece of jewelry is hand-stitched using a needle and thread. One tiny bead at a time. Tosha uses Japanese seed beads which are small glass cylindrical shaped beads that allow for intricate designs to be created. Some designs she draws on graph paper before-hand, and others she weaves as she goes along.
